An exhibition of calligraphy, paintings and photographs by disabled people opened innbsp;Minhangnbsp;District on Thursday in tribute to the dedication of the disabled community in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.nbsp;

The Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation asked for contributions in June for the exhibition and received 526 works from across the nation.nbsp;

Nearly 50 winning entries are on display at the Noble Center of the Shanghai International Rehabilitation Center through October 16.

The work reflects the devotion of disabled people, medical workers and others from various walks of life in the fight against the pandemic, the federation said.nbsp;

Some disabled people in Shanghai were at the front line of the battle, and some served as community workers and volunteers, the federation said.nbsp;

Some delivered face masks to their disabled neighbors, it said.nbsp;

They had also created a lot of art, such as photographs, calligraphy, paintings, paper cuts, eggshell carvings and bamboo carvings to record the special period, the federation said.

The photograph which won first prize showed workers testing the 5G network high above the ground.nbsp;

Feinbsp;Feng, who has impaired hearing,nbsp;expressed with sign language that he had got up early to capture the scene.nbsp;

The pandemic posed a negative impact but it did not stop the pace of development of the nation, he said.

The scene showed the unyielding spirit of Chinese during the pandemic,nbsp;Fei added.
