NEW YORK, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- September was the deadliest month for the U.S. state of Alaska as at least one COVID-19 death, but usually two or more, and even as many as 10, was reported for each day, a daily in Alaska reported.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Alaska stood at 138 in September, Anchorage Daily News reported, citing state data.

Meanwhile, the state's vaccination progress has slowed. Till the first day of September, 61.3 percent of Alaskans older than 12 had their first vaccine dose. However, so far that figure has only risen a little over 3 percentage points to 64.5 percent.
