During summer, the body loses water through perspiration. It is necessary to stay hydrated; so drink at least 10-12 glasses of water a day. Try to avoid beverages that contain caffeine or lots of sugar, which are dehydrating. Robert Kenefick, a physiologist at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, suggests eating fruits and vegetables which have high water content. Try watermelons, cucumbers, celery, radishes and tomatoes.
